Small diamond and pearl brooch designed as a classical foliate laurel wreath. The natural pearls are shades of white and between each pearl is a pair of leaves each leaf holding two diamonds, the diamonds are old mine cut. The leaves are edged with very fine milgrain detail and have a diamond shaped pattern in them.The brooch is finely made from high quality materials with a'C' hook fastener and pin to the rear, the pin has been historically replaced in 9ct rose gold and works as it should, some scratches to the back of the brooch. Circa 1880 - 1914 belle époque era.
The condition is overall excellent antique condition and all the stones are present. This small and beautiful brooch will come in a new box.Metal; yellow gold back tests as 18ct. Pin historical replaced; tests as 9ct rose gold. Diamonds; 32 x rose cut. Diamond weight; at least 0.32 carats.
